Short version: this site is built to WCAG 2.1 level AA. If any part of it does not work for you, tell us and we will fix it.
01Our commitment
MANTA Systems LLC wants everyone who is curious about MANTA to be able to read this site, understand it, and join the waitlist, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
Accessibility is treated as part of building the site correctly, not as an add-on.
02The standard we build to
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, published by the W3C. That is the standard referenced by most accessibility law and guidance, including the Americans with Disabilities Act as applied to websites.
03What this site does
- Every page starts with a skip link so keyboard users can jump straight to the content.
- Pages use semantic HTML landmarks: navigation, main content, and footer are marked up so assistive technology can move between them.
- All meaningful images carry text alternatives that describe what they show.
- Text and interactive elements meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios, in every state including hover and focus.
- The whole site works with a keyboard alone. Nothing requires a mouse, and focus is always visible.
- Form fields are labeled, announce their errors to screen readers, and support browser autofill.
- The layout reflows for zoom and small screens without horizontal scrolling, and honors your browser's text size.
- No content flashes, autoplays, or moves on its own.
04How it is checked
Every page is checked against WCAG 2.1 AA with automated contrast and markup testing plus manual keyboard and screen reader passes. Checks are repeated when the site changes, not just once at launch.
05Known limitations
The concept renderings and prototype photographs are described in text alternatives, but a text description can never carry every detail of an engineering image. The essential content of each image is stated in the surrounding copy as well.
The waitlist signup is processed by Kit, a third-party email platform. The form itself lives on this site and is built to AA, but the confirmation email Kit sends is generated by their systems.
06Tell us what is broken
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to know, and we will fix it or provide the information another way.
Every email from the waitlist comes from a monitored address. Reply to any of them and your message reaches MANTA Systems directly. Tell us the page and what went wrong, and we will respond as quickly as we can.
